Dirt Worm

This Worm will help you to grow your crops it it's really common on overworld. If It get kill by a player it will not drop anything except experience.

    Maybe it can spawn whenever you dig mud or till rooted dirt or grass into farmland.
    if the worm drops dirt when it's killed it could allow you to farm soil dirt blocks in Skyblock or just to get dirt renewably.
    and if it can only be acquired that way it's more balanced because you have to wait for the grass to grow or turn it into mud.

    But I think the dirt earth worms shouldn't be seen by the player unless they are intentionally farming.
    also a worm item could be use as bate for fishing maybe it doesn't remove how fishing already works but it allows you to get more fish.
