With the new caves coming to Minecraft, and some being absolutely huge, it's kind of difficult to mine ores or other blocks in caves that are too high to reach, yes you could pile up blocks to get up higher, but I think we need tools to help us with our mining journeys.
* Miner Helmet: Useful for mining in dark places (e.g. the "Deep Dark" biome). The crafting recipe could use the new copper ore to give it more uses, and a glowstone block or dust. However, the light is not unlimited, and like the Respawn Anchor, you need to refuel it to use it again so that way it doesn't become too powerful. Perhaps putting the helmet and some glowstone in the crafting recipe to refuel it, or we could have a new menu in the inventory? The pros of a miner helmet would be that you could see caves better in light, and that the light source is significantly brighter than that of a torch. The only downside would probably be the refueling mechanic, but its so that it is balanced.
- Bonus: We could use the smithing table to merge a regular armor helmet with a miner helmet to be able to keep both in the same item
* Grappling Hook: About the getting to higher places in the larger caves: we need a tool to help us mine ores in places we wouldn't normally be able to reach. It would sort of work like a fishing rod; you throw the hook and it would latch to the block you were aiming at, then, you would hold jump to ascend slowly, and to speed up the ascension, you would repeatedly press the jump button.
