apart from big xp and the dragon egg, there's no reward that will make player proud that they "completed the game"
adventure to the far lands of the end is sure nice, but that's different journey that preparing for fight with the dragon.
take an example from raids, you defeat the very evil you just got cursed with, but that nice jingle and villager happiness. it sure makes the player proud of their action of defeating the evil force.
so i propose the "lantern nights"
during the lantern night event:
-night becomes lighter (light level of 7 instead of 4, which lets u see better while still spawning enemies)
-enemies become easier to defeat, they have less hp and damage, skeletons aim becomes bad and creeper takes longer to fuse)
-you can see lanterns if you stare at the sky in the night, purely cosmetic.
-baby villagers and stranger iron golems will give you poppys
the lantern night stays for 5 minecraft days, after which "villagers" stops celebrating.
i got the idea of lantern night from the game "terraria" you defeat the boss and terrarian folks becomes happy that small portion of evil is gone.
what do you think of my idea? i really feel there should be more celebratory events like my idea.
i dunno if minecraftians should celebrate the death of wither, i mean you spawned the devil and once you see its aggresive, you strike down the monster you created.
