Alloys using smithing table

I think the caves need more ores, but adding the ability to make more alloys would be a good substitute. This would work similarly to netherite armor and tools. Gold armor could become rose gold with copper. Netherite armor could become gilded netherite armor with gold. Gold could become reinforced gold armor with gold. Each alloy would have properties of both its counterparts such as knockback resistance and fireproof from netherite, piglin resistance from gold and maybe copper exclusive lightning enchantments from rose gold.
