Agreed, Azalea needs it own wood type to distinguished it from oak trees, maybe something a bit enchanting and fantasy like design, a lighter looking version of oak logs, the inner part may be lighter or have a very different colour matching the flowers of the tree leaves, I'm happy for more wood types tbh

Yeah but the current azalea trees should be renamed to lush oak trees. These trees are used to find lush caves while actual azalea trees can have a different log and blue flowers on leaves. The logs can be a little thicker then dark oak trees and these forests could be as common as oak forests.

Agreed. It would be so nice to have a new wood with both a new color and unique texture. I think it would also be a good idea to add the ability to grow azalea bushes into trees with bone meal but that they wouldn´t do that naturally.

I think that the azalea wood should be a dark olive-green color with brown bark on the outside, since we don’t have a green wood type yet.

A new type of wood will be so nice. As azalea has its own type of wood, it must be added. Or else the tree will be boring. I will agree with you.

The idea that the wood is green is good, but I think it would look better if it were a dark purple to match the color of the azalea flowers. In addition, the green color would be better for the mangroves.

Un bioma lleno de estos árboles de azalea estaría bien no? Un bioma muy raro de encontrar.

I agree, there is the azalea bush anyway which is pretty easy to multiply

For me, the color of the azalea wood would be pinkish brown, since it would be more different from the other woods out there.

Green wood for azalea trees, everyone.

It defiantly needs its own wood type.

I don’t think that the azalea wood should be yellow or pink, because we already have a yellowish wood (birch) and a pinkish wood (crimson). I think that a light olive green would be perfect for the azalea trees and fit the theme of the lush caves.

Yes please! I really want a new wood type for this new tree. Especially since there will be more types of trees added in the future and if azaleas don't have their own wood then those other types might not have their own wood.
And developers at mojang even said that they don't want to add dyed wood or anything, they want to add new wood types that we can go out and get to get new colors and stuff, so if they really need to add these new woods!

I disagree with the assumption that Azalea wood should be the same as all other wood types, but tinted a different colour. I propose that Azalea wood should be more unique in that the log texture should have a vastly different texture that resembles a cluster of twisted and knotted roots and stems, with a very neutral colour. Furthermore, I propose that the crafting of Azalea blocks should also be unique in that you have to combine and Azalea log with string in order to get Azalea planks and the rest (doors, slabs, etc), which would look similar in colour to the logs, but the roots/stems are perhaps straightened and the would show the stitching that is holding them together (a look similar spruce trapdoors). Again the colour would be very neutral, the big difference would be in the texture.

It should be purplish-pink on the inside, and a lighter version of oak with green tints on the outside.

I think azalea wood should be white or green. White would be so pretty, I'd like to have white wood to work with but I guess green would look more lush

Maybe it will be in 1.19!

Definitely. It's a bit odd for Mojang to add a new tree without a new type of wood, and if azalea trees are to remain separate from Oak trees they should have their own wood. They could also be renamed to "lush oak tree" or something similar if the trunks stay the same. The wood might be a creamy or peachy colour, but definitely a light colour as we already have two dark coloured woods (spruce and dark oak) and the only current light coloured wood is birch.

Apparently azalea wood was rejected because it would just be a slightly different color of another wood? Dyeable wood was rejected because new wood types were supposed to do the job, so I find it baffling that new wood types are rejected now.

But it should have something different, as we already have many shades of brown. I suggest that the log should be brown on the outside but green on the inside, with green planks and green striped logs.

I think that a texture of united roots would be remarkable for its trunk.

I am sure that this idea has more votes. Maybe the developers decide to make this idea come true. So please share this so that the azalea trees have their own wood so they don't feel left out.

Mojang makes an update but that update isn't as expected and lacks in obvious features. Just use mods

I don't even understand why this isn't a thing, like Mojang has been giving as a fair variety of tree types and colors, so them making the Azalea tree out of oak wood seems weird and random. Maybe they actually plan on making it a different wood type for 1.18, who knows

it would be far more intuitive and another wood type would be extremely valuable

I strongly agree, it’s weird to just have oak wood on an azalea tree, and feels disappointing. The wood could be a pale pink in color.

Azalea should become the "Magical Wood" like lapis is the "Magical Ore" so you can upgrade enchantments at a upgrading table made of azalea with lapis.

The logs should have some moss on them.
