So, a possible geode location device, lepidolite. This purple stone-like block (Think granite, andesite, diorite) would spawn naturally 10-25 blocks away from geodes. This would let the player know they are getting close to the geode, and encourage them to start searching. The blocks would get more frequent the closer you get. A possible crafting recipe could be 8 diorite surrounding 1 crystal, or 2 cobble, 2 crystals.
