Rubber bands

Rubber bands could be a new item to add to redstone constructions. Rubber was originally made from sap and heat. In Minecraft you could have a gadet to collect sap from trees {maybe an iron ingot and 2 wood planks in a line in the crafting table} then put that sap in the furnace to make rubber. put the rubber in a circle in the crafting table to create a rubber band. The rubber band could then maybe be used as a pulley system. Add one new block that attaches to the rubber band on both sides and could be used in redstone builds. It could maybe help with tnt launchers or way more.
