Chromatic Netherite

I was thinking about how netherite might look cool, but some people like the shine of diamond or vibrant colors to wear instead of dark grey enchanted armor at late game. What if you could use the smithing table to add colors to netherite using certain items or maybe dyes? Like for example, bright red armor or maybe having multiple colors in each piece (like maybe red fading to orange or something). Note, I don't think it would be balanced to make it appear as a different type of armor or to not show that it is enchanted for pvp, maybe you could either have it as an option you can disable in world settings or (most likely) just not let doing that be possible. I think it's an interesting idea even if it's not practical or useful, it would be very nice to have a combination of cosmetic and powerful. I've seen feedback of something similar to this, but it described like the armor having add ons or styles, I'm just saying how you can give it interesting colors but not like banner patterns or something.
