Make extreme hills look more hill like

We now have REAL mountains, so why keep the wannabe one's? Touch them up, make them grassier, and make them more hilly and less like a plateau. We could have a genuine "hill" biome! Honestly in their current state, they look far too ugly and antiquated.

 

Keeping the new mountains uncommon is a good idea, but personally I think that as long as the old "mountains" are EVERYWHERE they kind of spoil that. They'll just be the ugly terrain you have to trudge through until you find the true mountains.

 

At the very least, make them less common so that they won't be like the second most common biome so that the new mountains feel more special

    I agree, I voted for the mountains precisely because as they stand they are an eyesore and I wanted their generation improved. This would be like keeping the old villages in Village & Pillage or keeping the old oceans in Update Aquatic. The extreme hills can be kept, but they should at least receive some touchups.

    I'm usually the kind of guy that backs up old features because of how nostalgic they are and how much I loved the old school days. But in this case, old mountains need to change or be rarer.

    I voted for mountains because it was one of the worst looking biomes you could find, and I don't know anyone who willingly builds their base there. I thought they'd be all changed, tbh. I get wanting to preserve extreme hills as is, but please, don't.

    You have my vote the “extreme” hills are one part of original Minecraft I wouldn’t mind changing
