The current aquifer border generation looks extremly sharp and unnatural creating these wierd looking triangular shapes that dont fit with the rest of the caves. Those shapes generate at both the bottom of caves and hanging from the ceiling as well as at the bottom of oceans
As I said before, those shapes look really out of place and dont fit with the rest of the caves as aquifer borders are sharp and triangular.
Imo this could be fixed by a smoothing algorithm that blends the borders with the rest of the cave so they look perfectly natural and doesn't ruin the entire cave's look, thats why I and possibly many other players would like to have the aquifer border generation adjusted so it doesn't ruin the looks of all the otherwise beautiful caves
2nd Related problem would be that the aquifers generate completly unrelated to the caves so you can have 15 diffrent aquifers in a single cave. This wouldn't be a in itself problem but atm it causes these previously described tetrahedrons to stick out the walls, ceiling and floor.
Summary
What do you want done?
-I want the aquifer border generation changed.
Why do you want something done?
-I want the generation to be changed as it looks out of place and ruins the shape of the caves and was reported as a bug multiple times.
How do you want something done?
- I want to have some sort of a smoothing algorithm or entirely change how aquifer generate so there aren't 15 different aquifers in one cave
