Village Mineshafts

I think this should be in caves and cliffs, where mining villagers mine blocks. they will strip mine 2x2 tunnels and will mine blocks based on their tier. Only coal for novice, iron and coal for the next, and so on. When you go into a mine shaft in a village yo will notice it doesn't go down farther than y level 30. The Idea is you mine here with the villagers giving the miners new iron picks for a diamond or 2 in return. Their trades would be 3 iron picks a diamond, 10 torches for 2 emeralds, a mining helmet which is like a gold helmet that illuminates around you. The player, in the mineshaft could add a whole minecart system. They could also maybe get you an auto smelt enchantment, which should probably have a cooler name than "auto smelt."
