Magpie (because birds are cool)

Magpies could be a unique mob. We got parrots in the game, which are very complex and sweet, but they don't have much use or unique talents that are useful in any way (nobody finds the creeper noises to be useful, no.) Magpies could be interesting. My idea: Magpies would have a similar size like parrots and could fly. They'd also be tamable, but not with seeds. They'd want raw meat/beef. Magpies would be attracted to shiny objects (Gold, emeralds, diamonds) Wild Magpies would fly to you when you hold a shiny objects and would start pecking you (not really attacking/doing damage more like "hey, I want your attention give me that please") to get that object. Tamed Magpies would fly towards shiny ores (or, if they'd sit on your shoulder like a parrot, make different noises when you're close to the ore) That could be useful in caves, especially now that exploring caves will be even more interesting after the update. But the ore block would actually have to be exposed in some way, for the magpie to react. (So the feature wouldn't work for strip mining- that would just be unnecessarily op) Drops: Feathers, maybe sticks

    maybe if u drop iron or other mined or smelted items if left on the ground . The warning is you hear ... TWEEET! And yes birds are awsome

    i think this would be great, but not just magpies. maybe rooks and drongos that would be cool looking mimics that also ambush hostile mobs because it sees them as a threat. they should make a large bird update, including a hostile/ neutral bird cause there are currently none

    they could collect sticks, still wandering what could tame them though, something found early in the game
