Bark

When you strip a log you can get bark to make wooden armor or a wooden shield

    This could add a lot more depth to the early game. Maybe even different kinds of shields? I have always thought that it didn't make much sense for the bark to just disappear when you strip a log.

    You should also be able to put the bark back on it to un-strip the log
