Item dissapearance

I was playing Minecraft, and I died in the nether. I died multiple times trying to get to my stuff, and was devastated when my items that I spawned three to four days on disappeared right in front of me. So Mojang, if you're reading this, is it possible that you extend the five minutes we have to get back our items to ten or fifteen minutes? Because that would have meant a lot when I was trying to get my stuff back. :)
