This issue isn’t pertaining to any bugs or anything like that. This is about performance. Adding 128 blocks to the hight of the world means 32,768 more blocks to be loaded with each chunk (if I’ve done my math right). This might be a huge issue preformance-wise for people like me who have Dell Inspiron 3000 laptops with core i5 CPUs, who face multiplayer lag in singleplayer on a regular basis, even in OptiFine 1.16.5, where there are 32 thousand less blocks to be loaded in each chunk.
What I’m saying here is not to remove support for any devices, but to rethink some things performance wise. I know this will probably pretty much not be a problem for people on Bedrock Edition that have max render distance, but for me, I can’t play Java Edition Singleplayer with 14 chunk render distance without experiencing massive lag, even when using OptiFine and using all the FPS boosting settings within it that I am willing to use. I am certain I am not alone in this. Please consider 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
