Strongholds should only generate in the deep dark, with a new look and possibly having a few wardens roaming around, making your journey to the end harder.

    Yes, and make the stronghold feel nostalgic with the underground cabin.

    Silverfish already seems to spawn down there, so it would only strengthen their connection. Also: I don't think it would be too challenging to lower the height at wich a underground structure generates. But i could be wrong.
