Caves are going to look great with the new generation and biomes but on top of that they should also feel great. One of the things the nether update was amazing at was ambience with particle effects, fog and sounds. This needs to be executed just as well in the cave update. Instead of caves being pitch black have the player's eye sight adjust to a musty fog through which particles can be seen. Each biome having a different atmosphere. And then as the name applies have the deep dark be pitch black and when lit up have skunk themed particles. On top of that new sounds and more echo when down in the caves. This would make the caves so much more immersive and enjoyable to explore.
