First of all, mica is a mineral that exists in real life and is extremely soft and brittle that you can break by hand.
In minecraft it could be a block (mica block) which would break when stepped on and would only be found in mica caves, which would have large pits under the mica.
The block of mica could well serve in parkour or traps, you could also get it on the y30 layer and it can be removed by hand
