If they make these, we won't need to use lightning rods anymore too!

I want this so I don’t have to spend a fortune on hoppers!

I think this is a great idea because i would love to see automation for lava farming, if the pipes were like hoppers but with fluids and reacted to redstone like hoppers and could suck lava out of cauldrons then we would have an automatic lava farm. I think it is great because while we have renewable lava we do not have the procces automatic.

I don't think automated lava farming should be possible with this, because the lava would just melt the pipes. I know the lava doesn't melt the cauldrons, but copper pipes are thinner than cauldron walls and copper and has a lower melting point than iron so it just FEELS wrong.

Overall, I preferred this idea for how copper pipes could work in conjunction with hoppers to transport items:

For water flow control or water transport, I'd rather see Minecraft give bamboo some love and give it a unique use, since it's early-game accessible and currently has so few uses. Copper within redstone contraptions feels OK, but copper water pipes and fish or lava transport feel a bit too modern for the world of Minecraft when you could do those things other ways. It starts feeling like you're using a technical mod.

I would like to see copper pipes be able to extend and direct the output from hoppers

We need copper pipes. Hoppers aren't meant to transport items and they work under several limitations (like transporting items upwards). Also that would add a much need use to copper (lightning rods aren't used much for their actual purpose by users as they skip thunderstorms by sleeping and also the Zoom feature of Optifine). Also hoppers are vey costly and laggy if they are used a lot.

This and a red stone powered water pump so that the water reacts the same as red stone does when stretched out
