Minecraft's caves have always been stuck 4 basic mobs, zombie, creeper, skeleton, and spiders. Which are not very difficult and with the new grimstone layer. I have thought of 4 new, and very powerful foes to spice up exploring the dark depths of your worlds.
Ghoul, the basic enemy you find most of the time. Has 25HP(13.5 hearts) and deals 5 hearts to unarmored players and walk slightly faster than zombies. Burns in daylight if brought up to the surface.
Revenent, the corrupted archers of the grim layer. Has 22Hp(12 hearts) deals 3 hearts to unarmored players. Inflicts withering and blindness effects if player gets hit. Slower than normal skeletons but design is mostly dark colors to blend in with surroundings. Burns in daylight if brought up to the surface.
Cave troll, axe wielding illager of the abyss. Has 16HP( 8 hearts) and insta kills unarmored players and deals 4 hearts to players in full diamond armor. Has charge ability sorta like goats that can kill any player in any armor unless they have a shield to block. Does not burn in daylight but does not spawn in village raids and won't attack villagers.
Abyssal boulder golem, the rocky smasher crushing anything and everything in it's path. Large golem, slightly smaller than warden, 76HP(43 hearts). Insta kills players in iron armor and below. Can 2 shot players in diamond armor, and can 3 shot players in netherite. Very slow and bad pathing A.I. Inflects weakness if player gets hit. Does not burn in daylight, fire or lava.
