Dates (and how Coconuts should generate with palm trees)

Dates would be a new food source that could come alongside the Palm trees which have been confirmed to be added sometime in the future as part of the Desert biome vote. Dates would have a chance of dropping when Palm leaves are destroyed, similar to apples. This would allow the oasises where palm trees would generate to come with a food source too, making them more useful and unique. As many people will want Coconuts to come alongside palm trees too, since they’re just an obvious inclusion to add alongside palm trees, Coconuts could generate as external blocks similar to Cocoa Beans, and they would naturally generate on Palm Trees, presumably only in certain biomes. That way, if Mojang wanted, Coconuts wouldn’t be able to generate on palm trees in the deserts, instead only being able to generate on palm trees in Beach biomes. However, Dates should always be able to be dropped from palm tree leaves, as a food source. Perhaps if Mojang wanted, they could make Dates part of a loot table and would only drop from palm tree leaves in Desert biomes.
