Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Enchanted lecturn

Minecraft has a lack of magic, some people want more and others want none at all, so why not give them a choice. With the enchanted lecturn players can choose to add more magic to their world. To activate the lecturn players would need to place a new book on the lecturn to activate, to turn it off the player would need to take the book off the lecturn. I'm not sure where this book would be found or what to call it so that's up to Mojang. This new block would be great if Mojang ever decides to have a magic update.

    I think this idea is even more relevant now that librarian trades are being reworked and rare books like Mending and Unbreaking III will be far less accessible than before. One solution would be to introduce enchanting lecturns through anvils with an enchanted book to allow a villager to offer that book (with only the highest level enchantment selected) as a premium master trade. If the book has a treasure enchantment, then the treasure enchantment will be prioritized instead. If the book includes a curse, the curse will also be included with the main book enchantment.
