New caves look great! Let's spice them up a little bit. I LOVE the new ore textures. How can we make them pop out a bit more?
Well when we look at real ore generation, they spawn in clusters, mojang does that right so far. We have iron ore for example spawn in chunks. However, there should be more variation to the type of clusters we get for ores. Maybe really long stipends, or tall vertical ones that make the player THINK they may have gotten the whole cluster, but they have to keep digging to get the whole matter! This makes mining more in-depth, as everyone is far too familiar with ore generation. Ore generation is far too repetitive. This will encourage caving rather than strip mining.
Another thing though, is that ore generation only spawns in walls, which isnt very dynamic ore realistic (get the pun?). Anyways, sometimes ore should be a bit exposed, spawning in indepent clusters on the ground outside of walls, maybe in large boulders mixed with other ores.
All of this would make caving far more dynamic and immersive, mojang please add this to the cave update!
