With the addition of freezing damage, I was thinking maybe it's about time Elemental Damage/Effects was introduced.
For Example

Just like Fire Aspect deals DOT damage. Maybe we could add Ice Aspect which could deal lesser damage but would come with effects like Slowness.

And similarly other Elements like Wind Aspect wouldn't deal any damage but would give Weakness for a second everytime someone gets hit with it.

Earth Aspect could make it so that Regen Effects are less effective i.e either they Regen slower or Regen Less overall which also includes Natural Regen.

Lightning Aspect could add a Less Effective type of Mining Fatigue which would result in Slower Attack Speeds.
- You could add these through Enchants or a more interesting thing would be to add a new Magic Related Mechanic which would allow players to find/create Elemental Crystals which could be applied to Items through the Smithing Table. Eg. Heart of the Ocean could be used in the recipe of an Ice Crystal.
Was discussing this with some friends thought this would make an interesting addition to the Combat system.
