Andesite, Diorite, and Granite should generate in strands

Because they're igneous rocks, they should generate in strands that twist and turn throughout the world, similar to rivers but 3D. These strands can range from 3-12 blocks in diameter. I think this would be more realistic because igneous rocks don't usually generate in strata, and it would better fit the feel of Minecraft because it's more randomized.

  That was strata, not strands. Strata doesn't turn in random directions because it's flat.

  This would be awesome, coz current generation is rather lacklustre and feels on an inappropriately small scale compared to the how everything in the world generates.

  How about they generate in intrusive igneous structures?

  There are four basic types of these:

  Dikes, or vertical "walls" of cooled lava, that cut across strata

  Sills, or horizontal "Sheets" that are injected between strata\

  Laccoliths, or big blobs

  Batholiths, or *really* big blobs (In fact, batholiths are generally so big that sometimes they get lifted up, and exposed to make a mountain range- so batholith mountains would be a fantastic addition for the "Cliffs" part of Caves & Cliffs.

  I really dont know why they insist on the blobs. They make cave builds tedious to fix and are ugly. We could have andesite caves or Cliffs of Dover type cliffs and hills, granite/dripstone chambers. I would even prefer stratified layers, it would give an immersive feel of geological processes and look more uniform. Its not exactly a valuable block so I dont see the issue of having more of it available.
