Remove Budding Amethyst entirely

There needs to be some way to move an Amethyst Cluster farm, so being able to pick up Budding Amethyst with Silk Touch would be an improvement, but I think even better would be to just make a different way to grow clusters entirely since Budding Amethyst isn't the most obvious thing. It can easily be mistaken for normal Amethyst even if you know the difference, and if you don't, you just unknowingly destroyed your method of cluster farming. Perhaps instead shards can be "planted" on any Amethyst block. That way you can control your cluster farms and move them where you want. Clusters could even drop less shards as a consequence if need be, but considering the only purpose other than a single no-durability tool is for building blocks, I wouldn't think it would unless there are plans to change that.

Another option would be to make Budding Amethyst blocks drop some kind of "seed" that transforms a regular Amethyst block into a Budding Amethyst. This would keep Amethyst farms more limited and make Amethyst farming more understandable, while not making massive farms easy.

    Dude they have reasons for it to not drop if you break it. It makes the block more special and more unique. Just add a datapack if you want it like that so badly.

    Unfortunately the devs stated that they want ameythyst generation to be restricted to the geodes.

    Outside of that< I 100% agree that the majority of players aren't gonna notice that some of the amethyst blocks have a different texture, and even less will know what the budding block does, which just means many players will mine it and unknowingly destroy their source of Amethyst, or do it by accident and become frustrated.

    The Budding Amethyst block mechanic is weird it should revisited, maybe allow clusters to grow off any Amethyst block as long as it's inside a geode structure.

    Geodes should be made of 100% budding amethyst, and just make the growth times shorter. The devs completely ruined what was probably the best use for amethyst, the blocks, by putting them in a geode. Players will just get their blocks from geodes instead of crafting them.

    Yes, they should be movable but make them more rare to find.  I've found 3 in a small area in my world.  Common is ok since they're not movable but it would be better to make them rarer but the blocks movable.
