So, say you have to travel thousands of blocks to get to your guardian farm, or to your stronghold, or your friends minecraft birthday party, there’s only one solution: Boats on ice of course!
Ok, But seriously, it’s kind of wierd that that’s the way things are, don’t get me wrong the ice boat strategy is cool and fun, but it just makes minecarts completely useless outside of rollercoasters and Redstone.
Minecarts need to be better at what they’re already good at: having more variants of the carts and more variants of the tracks:
Carts -
Unlike boats, Minecarts can hold chests and hoppers, which makes them extremely useful for transporting items, so what if they had more, like a larger chest variant, a cauldron for liquids or dispenser.
Tracks -
I think Tracks are pretty balanced to upgrade because however good your going for means you’re not going to just have to make that level once, but multiple times depending on the distance they will span, so having higher speed tracks and the like made from higher grade materials could be a good idea; additionaly there could be a few useful new tracks that interact with Redstone machines, like one that opens up and drops the cart below when powered.
Overall, minecarts deserve some love, and I’m not just saying that because I came up with a really in neat mineshaft overhaul earlier and this would fit really well with it, welllllll maybe... out of words, read comment (:
