Better Mineshafts for Caves and Cliffs

I think Mineshafts could be bigger and better than they are currently, and with the Caves and Cliffs Update? What better time than now? How about actual mineshaft entrances on the surface that have supplies near them? Like barrels, minecarts, and lanterns. Maybe even an abandoned mining town? There you would find standard mining equipment and broken bits and pieces of maps for the mineshaft. Showing the people who are no longer there actually used to map out their mines. There would also be a rare item there, the Miner Helmet. It would mimic the crude version you see in Minecraft Dungeons. Since we now have candles you can mimic that candle hat you wear. That way it works as an offhand torch that you wear on your head. Maybe even mobs like skeletons and zombies who spawn in mineshafts could look like miners who might have met their end in the mines? Kind of like we have Husks and Drowned, the same could be applied to the mines for Zombies and Skeletons?
