Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I have an idea for the crafting:
Iron, Gold, Coal, Diamond, Emerald: Checkerboard pattern of 4 ingots and 5 stone.

Redstone, Lapis Lazuli: One block surrounded by 8 stone.

Quartz: 4 quartz and 5 Netherack

Nether Gold: 1 ingot and 8 Netherack

Gilded Blackstone: 1 ingot and 8 blackstone

    Ancient Debris: 4 Netherite scraps/ingots

Copper: Rusty copper block surrounded by 8 stone.

These crafting recipes would be a net loss, but they would still allow players to get ores when they need them, and allow ores to be renewable.

Could be a way to craft the deep slate ores that were just added, maybe even nether/blackstone version of all the ores.
