Lantern on a stick

A lantern on a stick would be a great feature for the caves and cliffs update because of the new caves this would be amazing because then we could have a light source that we could carry with us in our off hand while mining it’s also not over powered because the light would not stay so you would still have to use torches if you are going to mob proof or stay in the place long term

    Yes yes yes. I literally made the same post 5 minutes ago. However, I think you should just have to hold it in your hand, not put it on a stick.

    While carrying a torch in your hand, the torch is reduced for a certain period of time.
