It could be like the server hosting website, aternos, this server hosting site does not run 24/7 but instead turns on and stays on when a player joins, I agree this is a really good idea I posted on similar here. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/40094448655885-Co-op-worlds-multiple-owners-shared-progress
