Minecraft can feel very empty, this is especially apparent in two biomes specifically, the forest biome (this is a shame as it is the most common biome in the game) and the Savannah biome (which is full to the brim with wildlife in the real world). The skies are barren and lifeless as well with no birds flying through the skies. This can all be fixed with adding more mobs to make the world feel more alive. This could include:
Insects (creatures like butterflies, ants and beetles)
Fireflies (found in taiga biomes and only come out at night)
Birds (these could be different depending on the biome and would all come under the same spawn egg with tits spawning in forests, tanagers in jungles and weaver birds in savannahs etc.)
Deer in forests
More wildlife in the Savannah biome like elephants (with could be tameable by feeding them an acacia sapling and then rideable), giraffes, rhinos and lions
Crocodiles in swamps
Caribou in snowy tundra
Whales found in oceans along with manta rays and seals found near the coast
Other kinds of birds that have separate spawn eggs like owls, eagles, pelicans, roadrunners and hummingbirds
Bison could be added to the plains biome
All of these mobs would spice up all the biomes and make the over world just much more interesting with new items being able to be crafted from their drops and other uses as well for example jays being able to bury saplings and so could be used to create an automatic tree farm along with beavers chopping the trees down.
