Give villagers self defense

Give villagers a way to somehow fight back, instead of being massacred by players or monsters, they will use tools or weapons to protect themselves. Kinda like the vindicator except as a villager in self defense.

    I think villagers already have iron golems.

    The common villager should not be able to defend itself but instead villages should have a villager guard that did not offer trades but instead killed any hostile mobs except creepers. It would use an iron or stone sword and have leather or iron armor depending on how advanced the village is. Not all villages have iron golems and iron golem ai is pretty weak. Besides there is only one per village so there is only so much they can do.

    The Devs said that they aren't going to do so, because Villagers are pacifist and they have their Golem
