Smaller Ore Veins Spawn In Higher Levels (And Bigger Veins Spawn Deeper)

To add more strategy to mining, ore veins would be smaller at the highest spots of their generation. Diamonds,  for example, would be in veins of 2 if found at the high points of it's generation, but the deeper you go into the ore's generation, the bigger the veins get, making it more likely to see a vein of 8 diamonds in the deep dark or below Y 0.

  I totally agree. I think it would be a missed opportunity to only make the frequency change at different levels and not have the size of ore veins change potentially as well; the new generation frequencies add strategy to the game, but for those that mine a lot, knowing every diamond vein will only have as many as 8 diamonds, etc. takes away a bit of the game’s magic. Even if it’s super rare that it happens, it would be really exciting to mine knowing you might find a huge diamond or lapis vein deep underground.
