Repairable Tools

When a tool is damaged, you should be able to repair it by putting 1 of its material in a crafting table with the tool. Example: Iron sword(that has been damaged) + Iron = Iron sword, the new iron sword would be at full health. It does not need to fully repair it, it could also just repair it by a percentage. Example: Iron sword(50% health) + Iron = Iron sword(75% health).

    This is already possible with anvils. I think it hasn't been added to crafting tables/base crafting because the tables don't have the resources to repair tools in that manner? It's likely that the team has already considered this.
