So, I was talking with my friends about the latest snapshot, 21w06a, and we figured out that the game needs challenges, that are optional, and high risk high rewarding situations, that the player look for it.
We thought about a new boss, that copies the current equipment of the player, a little weaker, and fight the player like a PvP combat. This boss looks like a shadow of the player, and drops a high tier loot when defeated, but we didn't figured out what. If you fight the boss with more players, the boss will "split", to fight every player. The boss will be focused on one player, and other players cannot attack another one's boss.
The boss spawn works like the Ender Dragon, you can kill her once, but you can respawn it by sacrifying items. Well then, this boss is part of a dungeon, in a 8000 to 10000 blocks radius to the spawn. This dungeon should be like a stronghold, but, instead of a portal to another dimension, the principal chambers of this dungeon are the Boss Chamber, and the "Key" Chamber. The Boss Chamber obviously has the boss inside, and you can only respawn it there, and the Key Chamber has an activator to spawn the boss. This activator has infinite uses, but it needs "fuel" to work. The fuel we thought was Totems of Undying, or a Block of Netherite, trying to balance the cost and the reward.
