Sweet Berries planted into Sand should grow into Dead Bushes

For a long time Dead Bushes have been non-renewable so what about a unique way of getting them that kinda resembles the idea of a Bush that's dead? The lack of nutrients by planting into into Sand(or Red Sand) should turn them into a Dead Bush overtime this way making Dead Bushes renewable and adding more relevance to Sweet Berries at least im a decorative purpose
