I believe that wood floors/bridges in mineshafts could use a new wood type that would make it slightly more dangerous! The mine-shafts would have a new wood plank type that could possibly collapse or fall through when you walk on it, giving the illusion that the mineshaft is a historical place. It would have a subtle aged texture with cracks that would help differentiate from normal healthy wood planks, it could also have a mossy or dirty texture along with the cracks. Not all of the aged wood planks will fall through when you walk on them, it’s just a slight chance of happening due to adding new weight to such an old structure. It could have a creaky sound when walking on it, giving you a warning that it’s possibly unstable, and you should hurry across the surface, and it could have a unique breaking sound. You could have a better chance of getting across it if you sneak because you move slower and carefully. I think this would add a new interesting element to caving that would make you more careful when exploring inside of the mineshafts.
