Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

More shields

different tiers of shields

wooden shield (similar to the existing one but totaly in wooden planks)

iron shield (in iron ingots)

gold,

diamond

netherite 

shields would be enchantable

protection, unbreaking, thorns and maybe some specific enchantments

    I think that sheilds shouldn't absorb 100% of damage so that the higher tiers would have more going for them besides durabillity. As for enchantments, unbreaking and mending should probably be the only ones besides a new enchantment or two. An enchantment similar to thorns would fit well as well as one that deflects projectiles.

    All the shields would block 100% of damage, but the tier level of a shield would determine how much of you it protects.

    A wooden shield can only protect the front and can be disabled with swords, while a Netherite shield would protect the sides and front of a player and can only be disabled with a Diamond or Netherite axe.
