In my opinion, minecraft has a real lack of true challenge in its structures, so I propose that 1.17 brings in some extra dungeons with new traps, items, and random generation so it's always a challenge. These dungeons would be optional, but exploring one could reveal unique loot like higher tiers of enchantments, stacked armor, and new tiers of potions. These items would be the reward of a difficult dungeon that even late-game players would struggle with, like with mansions and monuments. (those need some serious upgrades too by the way) The dungeons would have unique blocks that are difficult to break and get tougher the lower a player went, as well as the difficulty and eventual reward. The only real flaw is with god-tier players or redstoners who want access to the unique items and redstone components without doing the gauntlet over again, so perhaps some changes could be made for them, but it's just an idea.
