Leather armor for the cold

Now there are some ideas similar to this but this is a very game changing idea. So this update would add the game mode called: super survival or would be an update to hardcore. In this update you can get cold and take damage over time, unless you stay by a fire or use the extra four armor slots in your inventory to put on either leather armor or wool cloth to shield you from the cold. I would really like this update for its challenge and new aspect of survival.
