Vine Farming

Vines are one of the oddities within the minecraft game (java edition).  The proper tool to mine them is the axe, but there isn't the option to obtain them through silk touch.  The only way to farm them is manually with sheers.  Me being a person who uses vines a lot for details and to craft mossy stones, I'd like to see either the hoe gain the ability to silk touch the vines or some other solution to make them able to be broken quicker or be farmed.
