Make distant exploration less punishing via one-way portal home

It can be quite challenging to return to home base if you've used a bed to avoid night time while out exploring far and wide, and even if you do respawn, you have to drop all your things and die.

I would like to see a home platform that is semi-difficult to create, is not removable once placed, and for which you can have only one, and an associated expendable potion or similar that warps you home to that platform.

This way, if I wanted to walk days and days and days away from home to see what all is out there, I don't then have to do the less enjoyable grind of walking back over the same mountains and oceans.

Even if the potions aren't easy to create, so I can only go on far ranging missions once in awhile, it would remove SO much grind if I didn't have to track coordinates just to get back to my house, which seems like cheating anyway.
