If you want to propose a change to an existing structure (like villages), or add something brand new in a current dimension or biome, this is the place.

Amethyst portal

I think there should be a new portal along with the caves and cliffs update that could be called: the amethyst portal. and in the portal should add new mobs like amethyst husks and zombies with structures in there called the amethyst temple. the portal should be made of a new block called amethyst frame that could be activated to make the portal block with a new item that should go along with the buckets called bucket of acid. there should be illusioners in the dimension too. the dimension could have a bunch of amethyst, acid, and such other blocks that I don't have names for yet.

    Wait, I never said that the amethyst temple should have a maze for treasure. and a bunch of traps in it and I thought of a block that could automatically spawn amethyst husks when you walk on it. there should be a new disk along with it called 22. I hope lena raine or C148 heard this.

    Nah, I think this is too much, at least for now.
    Minecraft (I repeat: for now) it's good with 3 dimensions, considering that one could use a little update

    This seems much too far from Vanilla Minecraft to make sense, however, I do like your idea with the mobs that are related to the Amethyst Geodes. A new dimension is out of the question though because it would be expanding on something that requires farming making it really easy to get a rare material. 
    A better way to go about it would be to add something like the Granite biomes in Terraria, (somewhat large caves made of only granite, diorite, and andesite) where mobs of there own type would spawn.

    while I do like this idea it seems a little bit mody but maybe the amethyst mobs could spawn in the amethysts to protect them?
