ComputerCraft Add-on for Vanilla Minecraft (Java)

Hello!

I've been waiting for the Plug-in API to be a thing for 6 or so years now, and since it seems unlikely to happen any time soon I wanted to ask if ComputerCraft could be integrated into Vanilla Minecraft (java). 
I believe the MinecraftEDU version has ComputerCraft built into it, so I think the author of ComputerCraft would be okay with it being integrated into Vanilla MC. 
Being able to code and write scripts on my Realms server would be phenomenal. 
Aside from my personal desires, I can imagine clubs at schools meeting up in Minecraft to have code jams. It would be sweet. 
Especially during this time of Covid I think it would be a nice feature to have. 

I really really want a Plug-in/Modding API for Java, but I have faith that we will get one eventually. I understand if this is not a priority / maybe is too OP for Vanilla minecraft, but it is really cool and I would love to have Computers on my Realms server. Thank you for your consideration~
