Better ore generation idea

I have a simple idea: generate ores much more often right under the surface of caves (up, down, and sides). This means, it would be much more effective to mine in caves rather than build mines to do branch mining.

  it would be cool if it wasn't as efective as mining with a beacon but more efective than mining without a beacon

  I also thought this, as many players will still strip mine after the cave update, meaning the new caves would be seen and enjoyed much less than they should. Mojang also talked about adding strategy to mining, and I think fighting mobs in caves instead of mining a line of blocks would be a great way to implement this. I also imagine cave mining has become even less efficient after the update, so increasing ore generation around caves would be a great idea.
