With the new cave generation in the 21w06a snapshot, there is one thing that I see lacking. The generation of Dirt, Gravel, Diorite, Andesite, and Granite.
I would like to see these blocks generate in larger amounts to fit the new cave systems introduced. Not necessarily an Andesite cave or a gravel cave, but for them to generate in larger veins than what they are now. Currently, with the new cave generation, it's mostly just stone. The soil and stone variants give cave texture variety, allowing the player to see more than just one color(s). This could make it easier to make certain soils and stones rarer than others. Maybe even the stone in the deep dark? That's up for debate.
If one were to increase the size of the ore veins, it would be needed to be in a balanced way, not just a universal expanse. for example, large coal veins would spawn frequently and in medium to large size underground below sea level. above sea level, it would generate rarer(I don't think anyone wants to see a mountain of coal, though that would be cool). Diamonds could generate less often, and commonly in small veins. Medium size veins could be found rarely, but large ones will never generate. Emerald would follow a similar pattern as diamonds. It certainly would be nice to see the ores generate ith real-world rarity...
