Minecraft as a game is very friendly save for one extremely unsavory aspect. Animal Farming.
The unfortunate reality about animal farming (in its current state) is that efficiency is always considered more important than the well being of animals. I think we can all agree that rewarding humane animal treatment could add an extra gameplay element and help reinforce the image and ideas behind Minecraft.
The Changes...
- I think players should ultimately have the choice to farm as they please, however they should be rewarded if they create large open areas for their animals to live in. Players should care about the animals and in return they should be rewarded.
- Additionally if an animal is mistreated and cooped up in diseased machine farm, the meat they would drop should be poisonous or unusable.
Mojang is a great company and has shown that they genuinely care for our planet and the people and animals that live on it. I think that if some sort of animal farming update were made that Minecraft could finally live up to their image of the most productive and creative game ever made.
I would also say that this would solve the issues of foreign nations banning the game due to Animal abuse.
