You should be able to gild goat horns with all types of metal ores to get different noises. Iron could give you your more basic horn sound, gold could give you a more majestic tone, copper could give you a more high pitched braying sound, and netherite could give you a deeper booming sound. It would also be cool if you could trade for gilded horns with wandering traders, giving them more use. Blowing a gold gilded horn could give you either the achievement "Boromir" or "Gondor calls for aid". I have done research and have found that goat horns, while giving off a rather breathing sound, can still be played to beautiful effect. I feel that the Ominous Horn sound is ugly and that no one will use goat horns in any way if they remain as only making that sound. You can find spectacularly played goat horns all over the world, from the Viking style horns of Scandinavia to the beautiful Jewish Shofar. It would only make sense for you to be able to modify and make beautiful these horns.
