Diamond Armor Scraps

As we all know the smithing table has only one use and that is to make Netherite tools. So that’s why I suggest diamond armor scraps. Diamond armor scraps can be found in chests underground, in excavation sites, in desert pyramids, in dungeons or by fishing. Their use is to upgrade iron armor to diamond armor using the smithing table. It would be a little bit more rare than finding a nametag.

    tbh I like the idea of upgrading iron to diamond, bc I have this idea in my head abt making netherite be a "sidegrade" to diamond instead of a flat upgrade, & change Diamond into the Overworld equivalent to Netherite (endgame armor with high stats + special stat).

    But back on topic, your idea, I'm not sure why the upgrade material would have to be armor scraps, it could just be regular diamonds that get embedded into iron armor via the smithing table, turning it into diamond armor. Either way I like having the smithing table have more uses than only creating netherite equipment, rn the table seems limited and more could be done with it.
